Obayashi Corporation has begun evaluating the use of the AI-CAE solution RICOS Lightning to predict wind loads on buildings through machine learning.
Wind loads on buildings are commonly evaluated using methods such as wind tunnel testing and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. However, examining numerous wind directions and building geometries can require a considerable amount of analysis time.
This evaluation aims to use RICOS Lightning to rapidly predict wind loads, enabling various conditions to be compared in a short period of time and improving the efficiency of the architectural design process.
